Seamless integration with
Z9/Flex cloud enabled access.
Plug AccessGrid into your existing Z9/Flex environment. Keep your hardware, add mobile credentials.
We make it easy to enable Apple and Google Wallet credentials for access control companies - hardware, software and more.
AccessGrid's integration with Z9/Flex creates a seamless bridge between modern mobile wallets and one of the industry's most hardware-flexible access control platforms. By connecting AccessGrid's wallet-native credential issuance with Z9/Flex's cloud-enabled, hardware-agnostic architecture, organizations can issue secure Apple Wallet and Google Wallet credentials directly to users, without requiring a separate mobile app. Credentials are provisioned instantly, managed centrally, and tied to real-world access permissions in Z9/Flex, enabling operators to replace legacy key cards and fobs with a frictionless, mobile-first experience across the full range of hardware Z9/Flex supports.
Together, AccessGrid and Z9/Flex deliver a future-proof access stack that's simple to deploy across any facility footprint, from a single building to a multi-site enterprise. AccessGrid handles the complexity of secure NFC credential lifecycle management, while Z9/Flex remains the system of record for hardware, doors, schedules, and permissions. The result is a tightly integrated workflow where onboarding, offboarding, and access changes happen in real time. This reduces operational overhead, eliminating plastic cards, and giving end users a tap-to-unlock experience they already know how to use.
How it works
Our integration allows Z9/Flex environments to automatically provision AccessGrid NFC keys when credentials are created or updated in your Z9/Flex system. Using AccessGrid's API, credentials are linked directly to Z9/Flex identities - issued once, and the corresponding Apple Wallet or Google Wallet key is delivered to the user instantly.

For iOS devices, as long as you have enabled express mode, the pass will work if the phone is locked and even if your phone needs a charge. For Android devices, this is not the case.
Yes, if your iPhone is part of an MDM program, the passes should install just fine.
Facility code needs to be between 0 and 255, and card number between 0 and 65536. If this is not the case, AccessGrid will report an error via the credential screen.
Up to 1 business day.
Simply delete the credential or user from Z9-Flex and it will be revoked remotely via the integration.
Unlinked credentials can be re-installed by the same user that originally installed it by going through the install process again, but suspended and deleted credentials cannot be re-installed. Suspended credentials can be resumed but not re-installed.
No, it just deactivates the pass in the wallet. The user must manually remove the pass.
