Quicknode is a leading blockchain infrastructure platform, trusted by developers and enterprises to power and secure decentralized applications at global scale.

Quicknode began as a fully remote company, but rapid growth led to the opening of physical offices in Miami and Lisbon, introducing new security and compliance requirements. As the company pursued ISO 27001 certification, the security team needed to implement auditable physical access controls across multiple locations — without slowing down a globally distributed workforce or introducing operational overhead. Traditional badge systems made provisioning, revocation, and compliance reporting cumbersome, especially for remote hires, visiting employees, and short-term access needs.

“AccessGrid has been absolutely critical in helping us meet our physical security controls for ISO 27001 — especially as we scaled across multiple offices globally.”

Solution

Quicknode deployed AccessGrid to modernize physical access across its global office footprint. Using AccessGrid’s platform, the security team issued secure mobile credentials directly to employee wallets, enabling phone-based access without physical cards. Access policies could be centrally managed, audited, and updated in real time across all locations.

Credentials were issued remotely, revoked instantly when needed, and logged automatically to support compliance and security reviews.

  • Access Control Integration: AccessGrid was deployed across Quicknode’s office locations to manage secure entry using existing door infrastructure. Mobile credentials issued via Apple Wallet and Google Wallet enabled phone-based access without introducing new physical badge systems, while maintaining strong encryption and access control policies.
  • Credential Provisioning & Management: Using AccessGrid’s management APIs, Quicknode’s security team remotely issued, revoked, and time-bounded access credentials for employees and visitors. Credentials are encrypted, uncloneable, and can be instantly disabled, providing strong security guarantees and a clear audit trail.
  • Deployment & Rollout: Quicknode rolled out wallet-based access to in-person employees across its Miami headquarters and Lisbon office. Employees received digital access passes remotely and used their phones to tap into offices, either alongside or in place of traditional badges, with minimal onboarding and near-immediate adoption.

Results

By adopting AccessGrid, Quicknode streamlined physical access management while strengthening its security posture and compliance readiness. Key outcomes include:

  • ISO 27001 Readiness: Physical access controls, audit trails, and revocation workflows aligned cleanly with certification requirements.
  • Rapid Employee Adoption: 85% of in-person employees onboarded to wallet credentials in the first week, surpassing 90% adoption within the first month.
  • Operational Efficiency: Remote issuance completely eliminated badge handoffs and reduced security team overhead for onboarding, visits, and temporary access.
  • Global Visibility: A single management interface provided centralized control across U.S. and European offices, with room to scale to future locations.

Quicknode’s adoption of AccessGrid has modernized its physical security operations and future-proofed its global office footprint. With mobile, wallet-based credentials and centralized access management, Quicknode reinforces its commitment to security, compliance, and a first-class employee experience.
